Physical Medicine Websites
Last Updated: May 23, 2019
There are a growing number of chiropractic offices that are becoming integrated. What this means is that they are combining medical and chiropractic services under one roof. At Inception we offer services to many of these offices, and I wrote this article to give doctors a better idea of what works and what doesn’t.
Lots of New Services to Market
Having worked with a number of offices that have gone down this path I’ve become pretty aware of the problems they run into. Every doctor is excited to add all the new services, and they can’t wait for all the new patients to arrive. What most offices underestimate is the fact that it’s not cheap or easy to bring patients in. TV, Print Ads, and Internet Marketing seem to be the vehicles that most doctors choose, and most are frustrated with the results.
TV and print ads are very expensive. They work for a short period of time, and then they typically die out. The internet is relatively inexpensive, but there are problems there also. Here’s an example: You might have an amazing neuropathy program, but very few people are searching for neuropathy on Google. You might also have an incredible migraine headache program, but very few people are searching for migraines on Google.
What we’ve learned at Inception is that, although we can get clients to rank at the top for those terms, there are very few people searching those terms. People search for providers not symptoms. When they have a tooth ache they search for a dentist, and when they have back pain they look for an MD or a chiropractor. You have to learn to think like a patient if you are going to have success online.
What to Watch Out For?
I had a large chiropractic office at one point, and today I have a large chiropractic website company. I have the benefit of having been in both worlds. It’s important to me to be upfront and honest with my clients. I hide nothing, and have very fair pricing for our services.
What I see very often are chiropractors being taken advantage of by online marketing companies. The work they are doing is not worth the huge price tag that is being put on it, but they know you don’t know how to go around them. They can charge outrageous prices because you don’t know enough to stop them from doing it. You absolutely do not need to be spending $2000 per month and up on internet marketing. The more you know the more you will be able to avoid being taken advantage of.
So What Do You Do?
The offices that I see doing very well in the physical medicine area are offices that combine good external marketing with their web presence. Just having a physical medicine website is not enough. You need to combine it with typical marketing to get the most out of it.
The website must be designed to give patients what they are looking for quickly, with clear calls to action on each page. Google Adwords advertising or Pay Per Click is also very effective to help you generate additional clients. The great thing with physical medicine websites is that the patients that come in from the create a very good ROI. Spending money correctly in this area helps the people of your community and benefits the office.
At Inception we feel that we have the best physical medicine websites on the market today. Some of our closest chiropractic friends have worked side by side with us to design the best system available. Our full services cost doctors about a third of the price of our few competitors. We’re not here to take advantage of you. We’re here to be an extension of your office.
