Bad Chiropractic Yelp Reviews
Last Updated: June 25, 2019
If you have a bad chiropractic Yelp review you’re not alone. Yelp reviews are becoming a major problem for offices across the country. Imagine what your potential new patients will think when they look up your business and see a 1 star yelp review right next to your website listing. It can put a bit of a damper on your chiropractic marketing efforts. They look at the review and they run into a crazy patient telling everyone in your city that your scammed them and they should avoid your care. It’s a terrible feeling to watch your practice be pulled through the mud like that.
I get calls every month from clients asking what they can do to remedy this situation. They assume that this is something that can be fixed easily, but they’re wrong. Overcoming a bad Yelp review can be one of the more difficult things you will face as a business owner. If the first review you get is a bad one get ready for a long and frustrating road.
How Not to Handle a Yelp Review
The first thought you’re going to have is that you can simply open up a new account and post a good review to cover up the bad one. Yelp has systems in place to prevent you from doing this. They will quickly filter your review leaving the bad one in place.
Your second thought is that you’ll have some of your patients or staff go on and post good review. Yelp will see this burst of activity and they will filter your good reviews once again. This is the point where most people start to lose their cool.
If you’re really determined you’ll put together an in depth plan. You’ll have people start up accounts in your local city, you’ll remind them to post reviews to other businesses on a regular basis over a couple months of time, and then you’ll have them sneak one in for you. Once again Yelp will dump all the good reviews.
Month after month the bad reviews will remain while your business suffers. The more you try to overcome it the more Yelp will tighten the noose. They’ve got you, they know it, and they are going to use it against you.
How to Handle This Problem
The only people I’ve seen so far have success with Yelp are those that are advertising with them. If I had to guess I would say that Yelp relaxes the system a little for you when you are giving them money. It’s an amazing blackmail system and it’s unfortunate that we have to deal with such a company.
I’ll keep you posted if I learn anything new, but at this point it seems like you have to pay to get anywhere although they will say that is not true at all.
